The People Behind Telos Coffee
As a team of two, we've taken everything we've learned and experienced from serving others, hospitality, and making excellent coffee to create Telos Coffee! We hope all of our interactions with our clients go far beyond transactional, but relational and memorable.
Why Coffee?
We are confident that any non-coffee enthusiast has not yet discovered the perfect cup! Melissa's love for coffee began at her Mamaw's house, where she enjoyed a splash of coffee in her half-and-half at a young age. Tim initially developed an affinity for coffee during our early friendship, and now enjoys a warm cappuccino with a touch of brown sugar while reading his coffee science text books.
Coffee is not merely a hobby for us; we believe it serves as a catalyst for relationship-building and intimate connection. Sharing a coffee with a loved one, friend, or newcomer provides an ideal setting to pause, savor life, and engage in meaningful conversations.
What is "Telos"?
The word telos (adj. teleios) is a Greek word meaning “an ultimate aim or purpose” or the "fulfillment of potential". All things have a telos. We believe when people love God and others, and treat others as more important than ourselves, we live out our own telos.
Although telos is not currently experienced all the time, one day it will be fully realized because of Jesus's climactic act of love for his world. Now, we can be people who both live out our telos in the present and wait with patience for a new day to come.

We are not most passionate about coffee. We’re most passionate about people and convinced that people flourish when living in wholeness - gratitude, generosity and love. Our highest aim - our telos - is to love God and others, and treat others as more important than ourselves.
All things have a telos. We hope our coffee encourages you to enjoy the present moment, reflect, and walk away living out your telos just a bit more.
