Our story

Two people, one espresso cart.

We’re a team of two, and Telos Coffee is where our two loves meet: hospitality, and coffee that’s genuinely worth drinking. We bring the cart to weddings, offices and celebrations across Atlanta and North Georgia, and we hope every interaction with our clients goes far beyond transactional: relational and memorable.

The team

Who you’ll actually meet

When you book Telos, you get us.

Melissa's love for coffee began at her Mamaw's house, where she enjoyed a splash of coffee in her half-and-half at a young age. Our cart is beautiful, but her smile is usually the first thing guests notice :)

Tim developed an affinity for coffee during our early friendship, and now enjoys overly complicated processing and brewing methods, while watching people make coffee on YouTube.

Why coffee?

Coffee is not merely a hobby for us; we believe it serves as a catalyst for relationship-building and genuine connection. Sharing a coffee with a loved one, a friend, or a stranger provides an ideal setting to pause, savor life, and engage in meaningful conversation.

We also take pride in our craft and serve with a passion for excellence. Our beans come from Methodical Coffee, a roaster we genuinely admire. See what we serve.

What is “telos”?

The word telos (adj. teleios) is a Greek word meaning “an ultimate aim or purpose,” the fulfillment of potential. All things have a telos. We believe that when people love God and others, and treat others as more important than themselves, we live out our own telos.

Telos isn’t something we experience all the time. But we believe the morning has already begun because of Jesus, and one day all things will be made whole, the first day of a new creation. Now, we can be people who both live out our telos in the present and wait with patience for this new day to come.

“Like people in early morning who know that the sun has arisen and are now waiting for the brightness of midday.”
N.T. Wright

The format

Why a coffee cart?

It comes to you

The cart rolls into venues, offices, church lobbies and back yards, indoors or out, and runs off one standard wall outlet. No generator, no special wiring, no plumbing.

Every drink is made in front of you

A commercial espresso machine and a precision grinder. Guests order what they actually want and watch it get made, one drink at a time.

The line is the point

A coffee bar gives people somewhere to stand and a reason to talk to whoever is next to them. Watching a queue turn into a conversation is genuinely our favorite part of the job.

We cater weddings, corporate events, church gatherings and private parties across Gwinnett, Forsyth, Hall, DeKalb and Lumpkin counties, including Atlanta, Sugar Hill, Buford, Gainesville, Flowery Branch, Duluth.

We are not most passionate about coffee. We’re most passionate about people, and convinced that people flourish when living in wholeness: gratitude, generosity, and love. Our highest aim, our telos, is to love God and others, and to treat others as more important than ourselves.

All things have a telos. We hope our coffee encourages you to enjoy the present moment, reflect, and walk away living out your telos just a bit more.
